Jews Who Reject Jesus

There are many people who are looking to the Jews today for answers to God’s Truth. The nowadays Jews are Jews who listen to the teaching of Rabbis, Rabbis who speak against Jesus; Rabbis who teach many things not from God. We cannot mix the teachings from God in the Holy Bible and the teachings from men who reject Jesus.  Even in the time of Jesus’ earthly ministry, those Jews who went against Jesus were called vipers and children of Satan.

Jesus says not to call yourself a Rabbi. So why would we go to those who call themselves what Jesus says not to?

Matthew 21:8 be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

Salvation is from the Jews but not from the Jews who reject the Son of God.

Notice that there aren’t any prophets God speaks to the Jews anymore. Jesus is the last prophet of God.

Jesus says a little yeast worked through the whole batch of dough. See Galatians 5:9.  See also Matthew 13:33, and 1 Corinthians 5:6. Hebrews 12:15 See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

That is about the Jews who reject Jesus and want to continue to justify themselves before God by continuing to do the purification works of the law. There are people who believe in Jesus but also believe they still have to obey the works of the old law, which are the purification works.  Since there is no more temple and high priests they say we don’t have to sacrifice animals anymore, but they still claim we have to do the other purification works of the law and get circumcised, adhere to a special diet, and observe special days.  We can’t mix the old and new together. We can’t believe we justify ourselves by doing the old works of the law and also believe Jesus purifies us. If one is to do that they are called a bitter root and have fallen from grace. Grace is that we just have to have faith now that Jesus purifies us of the sins we confess and repent of doing and no more by our doing the purification works.

Paul speaks about how the Jews want to obey God but how they don’t accept Jesus as the sacrificial Lamb and the special days, etc; they would rather keep doing the purifying themselves by use of animals, the weak and beggarly elements…like food and drink and water to purify.

Galatians 4: 9But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? 10Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. 11I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

Romans 10: 1Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

1 Corinthians 8:8 But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.

Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Matthew 23:33“You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?

Matthew 9:17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

The Jews who rejected Jesus in the Bible times they would not accept that what once made them clean was just a teaching tool for the people to do until Jesus came. They had to be circumcised in the flesh, they had to adhere to a special diet, they had to do the external washings and sacrifice animals just to partake in the special feasts, they had to do those things just to go to the temple.   Circumcision in the flesh was the sign in their flesh that they were in a covenant with God and did the other purification works of the law.   If anyone was touched by or touched a person while they were unclean…or even sat where an unclean person sat…they had to have an external washing and give an animal sacrifice. The Gentiles did not do these things they were dead in their sins. They were unclean and enemies of God because they would not do what God commanded Moses to tell the people the works they had to do to purify themselves. The Gentiles would not clean themselves to worship God as the Jews did.  God gave the blood of animals to the Jews for atonement of their souls. They made themselves externally clean.

Leviticus 17:11 For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.

Hebrews 9:22 In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Hebrews 9:10 They are only a matter of food and drink and various ceremonial washings–external regulations applying until the time of the new order.

Ephesians 2:12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.

Leviticus 15:32 These are the regulations for a man with a discharge, for anyone made unclean by an emission of semen, for a woman in her monthly period, for a man or a woman with a discharge, and for a man who has sexual relations with a woman who is ceremonially unclean.

No Jews obey God anymore by purifying themselves. They might still get circumcised and adhere to the special diet and observe special days, but they don’t have priests and high priests and a temple and no more animal sacrifices.

Some Jews speak of rebuilding the temple so that they could give animal sacrifices again. However, no one is to sacrifice animals anymore for Jesus is the Lamb of God whose body and blood was shed and sacrificed for us, and his blood cleans us and takes away our sins, once and for all.  We enter that grace by obedience to Jesus Christ’s teachings and faith in him.

Faith in Jesus’ blood making us clean is what makes us clean and the obeying of his word. He washes us after we repent of our sins. He is our temple, our High Priest, our external and internal washing, our special days, our Sabbath, our food and our clothing. We drink and eat him by believing and obeying him. We clothe ourselves with him by obeying him. The saved are priests and His temple. All the special days were about him and now we observe him all day everyday. What a Great Rest we have in the Lord.
